Ok ok.... so maybe I have managed to validate the site, but... I think I've now broken the way images are displayed in IE... that is until IE8 is released, and then the site should appear exactly as I intended! 
Finally managed to sort out the alignment of the pictures and the text for the blog.... and it looks like it will be impossible to validate with CSS 2.1 because I use lightbox to display my images, grrrrrr...
All PNG images compressed using OSX PING(Great app btw), picture thumbnails recompressed using PHP libraries... my inner geek is happy
Additionally... I've added a favicon, alright!

Well thanks to Ashley I decided to update the site and add a query counter and a timer to see how quickly page executes... pointless to everyone else, but it settles my inner geek lol!
Ok... another little update, I've been exporting my video clips with iLife 09, and using the image stabilisation features and tweaks to improve some of the videos on the site... mmmmm efficient!
More updates! Woo. I've created an RSS feed (see the footer) and started to produce a download section (although at present nothing exists within it). Also as time progresses I've been tweaking the code and my PHP library 
Added some more portfolio photos too the site , now just too take some NEW ones lol!
NOW ADDED! If you visit the 'portfolio' section of the website, you can now add your own comments (Once I've accepted it, naturally) !
